| Magic
Kingdom |
| The
phone rang and it was Mickey waking us up! Perfect because today
we were going to the Magic Kingdom!! We wanted to get there early
since we remembered how long the line was the last time. We
skipped breakfast and just headed straight for the bus. The buses
at CSR were fantastic. We never waited more than ten minutes and
it never seemed to take long to get anywhere. In no time we were
at the gate, along with what seemed like thousands of other
people!! They started
letting people in a bit early, but they were having problems with
the machines. No one knew what was going on and everyone in line
was getting pushed and aggravated. It wasn’t a very magical
start to our morning. After
about a half hour of crawling towards the gate we finally got in.
Our UHP’s didn’t work in the machines, but they let us in
anyway. Yeah, we are finally walking down Main Street! |
| Our
first stop was for coffee and pastries at the Main Street Bakery.
I was surprised and very happy that there was no line there! We
brought our food outside and ate at a table on the patio. It was
another beautiful morning weather wise. After breakfast we headed
for Adventureland. I had never been on the Jungle Cruise and we
both wanted to go on Pirates of the Caribbean. As we headed toward
the castle I felt My Pal Mickey shake and heard a little laugh out
of him. Joe and I both stopped to hear his first words. |
 |
The
line for the Jungle Cruise looked long and there was no fast pass
available. I asked the cast member tending to the line if there
might be a better time to come back. He said maybe during the
afternoon parade. We weren’t going to stay at the Magic Kingdom
that long, so we decided to come back later and hope for the best. |
 |
| We
headed for Pirates of the Caribbean. I loved that Mickey told
jokes that were related to the rides and areas we were in. Every
time he shook, Joe and I both stopped in our tracks to hear what
he had to say. After Pirates we walked around for a bit and headed
back to the Jungle Cruise. We decided to wait in line since the
sign now said twenty minutes. By the time we got on the boat the
wait had been closer to 45 minutes!! They really do a good job
with all those twists and turns in the line, so you don’t know
what you are getting yourself into. I thought it was a cute ride,
but not what I had expected. It was getting hot out, so we thought
we would try the Hall of Presidents to cool off. We waited in the
lobby for the next show, but there were lots of unhappy kids in
there and we weren’t sure if they would cry all through the
show, so we left. We stopped at Casey’s for a quick bite and
then caught the bus back to our resort. |

| Coronado
Springs Resort |

 |
When we returned to our
room we found a new towel animal! It was big and sprawled our
across our bed. We weren't sure just what it was, but agreed it
was probably a lizard of some sort. |
 |
| I
still hadn’t seen all the areas of CSR, so Joe and I grabbed our
mugs, convinced the bartender at Siesta’s to make us drinks for
the road, and we headed towards the Ranchos. This area of the
resort was like a desert with lots of dry creek beds and
earth-toned buildings. It was really pretty, but the themeing on
this particular day made it feel even hotter out than it was! We
headed back to the dig site for a dip in the pool and another rum
and coke. The pool area was really empty today and the water
temperature was perfect for cooling off. Joe tested the waterslide
and convinced me to go down. After one last rum and coke, we had
to head for the bus to Epcot. |

| EPCOT |
| This
month was the Flower and Garden festival at Epcot, so we stopped
at the garden by the entrance to take a few pictures. I loved all
the character topiaries. We have two large shrubs in front of our
house that would make a perfect Mickey and Minnie, but Joe
wasn’t fond of that idea. We wandered through Innoventions and
Mouse Gears an then over to Test Track |

|
|
The
standby line at Test Track was only ten minutes, so we skipped the
Fast Pass and just waited in line. Joe loves this ride, so with
such a short wait we went right back on it again! It looked like
most of the attractions in Future World were closing down, so we
headed for World Showcase. Joe had a bass in England and we
wandered through some of the shops there. The Beatles band
wasn’t playing for another hour, so we continued on to France. I
had a glass of wine and we stopped to watch the street performer
making balloon animals. He was excellent! We walked through a few
more shops and then back to see the Beatles! We caught the end of
this show when we were here on our honeymoon and thought they
great. I was excited to see them again. They were fantastic!

| Le
Cellier |
| We
were a bit early for our PS, but only had a short wait before we
were seated. We ordered some Canadian beer and had a bucket of
breadsticks to start. The pretzel bread was delicious! Our waiter
was really fun. He was taking care of about four tables in the
corner and he would come over and tell us Canadian jokes and
stories. It was almost time for Illuminations and he offered to
hold peoples tables/food if they wanted to go and watch the show.
We had seen it a few nights ago, so we just finished and hoped to
catch the finale. As we were leaving the restaurant we saw the
very last set of fireworks, then got stuck in the crowds trying to
exit. We were going to the Boardwalk, so we left through the
International Gateway. |

Jellyrolls |
| This
was one of the places I HAD to visit on this trip. Joe and I love
dueling piano bars and I knew this place would be perfect! We
stopped at the bar and ordered rum and cokes. The drinks at Disney
were some of the strongest I’ve ever had. Even though they
charge $7 a pop, at least they make you feel like you are getting
your moneys worth! These had one shot of coke and the rest rum! We
lucked out and grabbed the last two stools that were available.
The bar was already in full swing with everyone singing along.
There were two sets of pianists that switched off and on during
the night. They all had different styles and sand everything from
Eminem to Barry Manilow. After a few too many drinks, we made our
way over to the Yacht and Beach Club to get a cab back to CSR. We
had a blast at Jellyrolls and hoped we would be able to make it
back there again one night this trip. |
