DAY
6: Wednesday,
May 7th |
| After
our late night at Jellyroll’s, Joe and I finally got up and made
our way to the Pepper Market for breakfast. Today was Mel and
Justin’s last at Disney and we wanted to plan something with
them for that evening. When we got back to our room, I found a
message from Mel. I called her back and Justin said she was on her
way over. She was going to the gift shop and to pick up some
coffee, so I walked over with her. They had been up late at
Pleasure Island the night before, so we all decided to just hang
out at the pool for a while and relax. After a few hours, Mel and
Justin went back to MGM for a forth attempt at winning “Who
wants to be a Millionaire”. I wished them luck, so we could all
go on the cruise together!! Joe and I would meet up with them
later for dinner at Downtown Disney. |
| I
still hadn’t walked through the Casitas area of CSR, so that was
on my agenda for today. Joe was still recuperating (by having a
drink at the bar) and wasn’t interesting in more walking, so I
grabbed my camera and was on my way. This whole resort was just so
beautiful. I stopped in the first building and took the elevator
up to the top floor to get a birds eye view of the resort. The
buildings here were 4-5 stories high and closest to the conference
center and restaurants. The Casitas had lots of secret garden
areas and fountains. I wandered around for a while trying to find
the spitting lion fountains, but I didn’t see them anywhere. I
picked up a pizza at the Pepper Market and brought it back to the
Dig Site to split with Joe for lunch. On
my way back to the pool I noticed a little girl peeking into our
room.
Mousekeeping had My Pal Mickey swinging from our curtains! It was
so cute! (Thanks so much to our Mousekeeper!!! She really made our
stay at CSR magical!) We did some more swimming then made
our way to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. |

| There
was a line at Rainforest Café so I waited to see what time they
were seating for. It was still too early for us to put our name in
(we planned to meet for dinner at 7:30). We managed to spend a few
hours in World of Disney and by the time we got back to RC they
were already seating out to 8:30!! We put our names in anyway.
There was still an hour before Mel and Justin would get
here, so we went in a few more shops and then stopped by the DVC
booth.
Joe and I have considered joining and I really wanted to
tour the Beach Club villas. We picked up some info and a phone
number to schedule an appointment. |
|
Mel
and Justin radioed us and we let them know we had a long wait for
dinner at Rainforest. We met and walked over to Planet Hollywood
to see if it would be faster to eat there. The hostess said it was
about a twenty minute wait, so we went inside. We ordered a round
of sodas at the bar upstairs (I guess we were all still recovering
from last night). This place was packed, but it was only about 30
minutes before we were seated. I love looking at all the
memorabilia and the music here is always great. |

After
dinner, Justin went to DisneyQuest and Mel, Joe, and I went back
to the World of Disney.
We spent another hour looking at watches and Joe finally
decided on one to buy. We were still too full to get ice cream, so
we just went back to the resort. I finished packing and we went to
bed. Tomorrow we would leave CSR for AKL!! |
