DAY
4: Wednesday, April 28th |

| Today was a short day at
the conference, but I got there early so I could grab some
breakfast. I took I-Drive back to the hotel and stopped at
Walgreens hoping to find some camera media. No luck, but I grabbed
a bottle of water. It was a beautiful day and I was sweating in my
conference attire! I stopped by the pool area to find Joe and told
him to pay his tab and meet me in the room. We were going to IOA! |

We
decided to start the day off with Ripsaw Falls. This was the
longest line we stood in the whole time (and it was only about 15
minutes with FOTL). It was a pretty cool ride, but I thought it
was going to have a lot more ups and downs. On the final drop I
got drenched and one of my contacts dislodged, so we had to find a
bathroom so I could reset it. I wanted to ride dueling
dragons so we headed back towards the lost continent area. Today
was a lot less crowded than it had been on
Monday.

We
stopped to take a few pictures and look around Seuss Landing. I
really liked the Lorax and carousel. We were both curious
about Poseidon's Fury, so we decided to check it out. It was a
really cool attraction. The variety of attractions at UO was
excellent. Joe stopped to get a beer while I made my way to
dueling dragons. I rode on the "Ice" side. I love the
coasters where your feet dangle and you feel like you are flying!
It wasn't as exciting as Hulk had been, but still a great ride. |

|
|
It was happy hour, so
we stopped into the Alchemy Bar for a couple of drinks. We had
ridden everything we wanted to, but we spent some time taking
pictures and checking out the shops on our way out. We finally go
to see the character parade which was a great way to end our day
at IOA.

| We picked up a couple
Margaritas on our walk back to the hotel. We stopped by the room
to change and then headed to the pool to relax for a bit.
The pool area and proximity to the parks were definitely the
highlights of the Hard Rock Hotel. It started to cloud up and was
getting late, so we went back to our room, changed again (this was
my 4th time today!), and headed for dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. |

The was no wait at
the Hard Rock Cafe and we got a great seat on the balcony
overlooking the main floor. The food and service were pretty good.
We shopped around City Walk for a while and then returned to the
hotel to pack. We would be leaving for Disney tomorrow. I set the
alarm, but I knew I'd be up long before it would go off!

I woke up in the middle of the night
to an alarm and someone talking over an intercom. It said
something like "an alarm has been activated please stay in
your room and listen for further information". This went on
for about ten minutes. You couldn't sleep through it, but it
didn't sound like anyone else was up and about. Finally a guy came
over the intercom and said it was a false alarm. It was about 2:30
in the morning, so I tried to go back to sleep. I'd be at Disney
in just a few hours!!!!
