UNIVERSAL ORLANDO & WALT DISNEY WORLD - April 2004

DAY: ONE - TWO - THREE - FOUR - FIVE - SIX - SEVEN

DAY 7: Saturday, May 1st

Going Home

The storm last night had been crazy and we turned on the news to find out that a repeat was expected tonight. Joe asked if we could get an earlier flight, so I called the airline and they had plenty of room available. Even though we would lose a day at Disney, I didn't want to be flying in a lightning storm! We went downstairs and grabbed some coffee and bagels and then finished packing. We brought our bags our to the car and then made a final stop in the gift shop.

The drive to the airport went smoothly. We missed the rental car drop-off and had to lop around again, but once we got there it was really fast to check in the car. The luggage check-in line was pretty short as well. Our seats were near the back of the plane this time. I was starving a needed a drink to calm my nerves so we headed for Chili's. We had a few hours to kill and the security line was pretty short so we stopped into a couple of shops before heading out to our terminal. It was starting to cloud up outside, so I was hoping we would beat the storm. Finally they starting boarding! The flight home was as smooth and fast as the flight down. I love Jet Blue!  We grabbed the shuttle out to where our car was parked and headed home.
